Water Cycle Lab - Why Does a Puddle Shrink? Students began this evaporation lab. They are determining if the size of a puddle affects the rate of evaporation. They made three puddles on aluminum foil. One was 5 drops large, the second was 15 drops, and the last was 25 drops. It was left out overnight and students will check the results tomorrow.
Water Cycle Lab - Particular Particles. This lab demonstrates water needs particles to form a drop in the sky. Students placed an eraser in a pan with water .5 cm deep. They placed some salt grains on the eraser and covered it with a glass. They observed for 30 minutes. At the end of the time, they saw water droplets where the salt was.
