Throughout the day, students began requesting EarthKam pictures. Sponsored by NASA, EarthKAM (Earth Knowledge Acquired by Middle School Students) is an educational outreach program allowing middle school students to take pictures of our Earth from a digital camera on board the International Space Station. Students have been using the EarthKam website to select locations on Earth to photograph. When they are returned, students will learn how to examine and analyze photographs of a planet take from orbit.
